About
Max grew up in the rainy forests of Vancouver, Canada. He first came to know the power of movies when he was inspired to become a paleontologist after watching Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park as a child. As he got older, his attention turned to storytelling and Max had the epiphany that started him on his filmmaking journey – he wanted to move and inspire people the way Jurassic Park had inspired him. He started his artistic journey studying acting at the Vancouver Film School, then moved on and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Motion Picture Arts from Capilano University. After directing a handful of short films and working in the Vancouver film industry for a few years, Max gained entrance to the prestigious School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California where he earned his Master’s Degree. There he found his creative and life partner Maria-Sara with whom he has made several award winning projects and created Bantam Bears. After co-producing Jack&Lou: A Gangster Love Story, Max is currently in development for three feature films while working in the film industry in Vancouver.
